Michael Sergio Tedesco, AIA

Principal - Partner

Mr. Tedesco is one of the founding principals of Core Group Architects.  He has been a registered and practicing architect for 30 years.

Known to everyone as Sergio, he brings the passion and the pride of placemaking from his Italian heritage into his innovative and creative designs. Sergio is recognized as an expert in the field of well designed high-performance buildings, workspace innovations and private residences. Many top developers seek out his expertise to efficiently position and develop their real estate assets for a wide range of residential and commercial uses knowing that the project will be delivered as cost effectively as possible without compromising quality design. His progressive approach to innovative design stems from his experience of working on a wide range of projects in his early career with award winning design firms focused on the importance of contextual research, planning, urban civility and everchanging lifestyle needs.

Sergio envisions architecture as the manifestation of the client’s program, stating that the “Stronger the program, the better the design solution”. The core of his philosophy is striving for the “Total Design”. A composition encompassing a cohesive exterior and interior design stemming from a strong client program, working from the (core) inside out ultimately arriving at a singular total design solution.

As principal of the firm, Sergio believes that the strength of a successful architectural practice is in the quality of the people who work at the firm. Making sure that the employees are hand picked to share the same passion and dedication for the advancement of quality contextual architectural design and the “business side” of providing the noble service of the profession.
